It’s been very quiet around here, but you should know that the planning for the Nevada Interactive Media Summit 2010 has begun! The Summit will take place on Saturday, March 6th at the Joe Crowley Student Union on the UNR campus at the conclusion of Journalism Week. The facilities as well as the conference will be bigger and better this year, and we promise that the cost will remain low.
Please check back soon for information about becoming a presenter and registering for the event.

Get ready for Reno Ignite. What exactly is Ignite and why do we want it in Reno?
If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Around the world geeks have been putting together Ignite nights to show their answers.
Ignite was started in Seattle in 2006 by Brady Forrest and Bre Pettis. Since then hundreds of 5 minute talks have been given across the world. There are thriving Ignite communities in Seattle, Portland, Paris, and NYC.
The international community site is sponsored by O’Reilly where you can find more information and watch videos from other Ignite communities.
Submit a presentation proposal here. Your topic does not have to be related to technology. For more information on Ignite, visit Ignite O’Reilly. Nevada Interactive Media is a proud supporter of Reno Ignite and will be doing what we can to make the first event successful. The second Reno Ignite event will cap off NNM’s first conference on March 7th.
Here are a few Ignite presentations from other events to whet your appetite. Even if you don’t want to present, you’ll want to come.
